With the Planning Module, a user can plan and manage publications. The layout order and final display of the elements is planned. An element may, for example, be a product, a product group, an article, an ad, a database query or an existing planning.

Flexible Product Display
The same product may be displayed in different publications in different ways. A product shown in an annual catalog generally shows other information than that given in a flyer or brochure with special offers. In addition, a user must be able to react quickly when just before production, products must be removed, added or changed.

With thousands of products a user cannot decide individually how information should be displayed. If the user defines no display for the product in his planning, the »VIVA Network Publishing« Server will take the decision as to how the information should be displayed fully automatically according to the set of rules available. This saves the user a lot of time and allows the user the possibility of only making adjustments to the calculated layout where in his opinion it is absolutely necessary.

Comfortable Production Planning
According to the document design »VivaGate« constructs and outputs a production plan with the help of the »VIVA Network Publishing« Server. This planning may be configured individually.

In co-ordination with the customer the system generates a status report, which with the help of color indicators documents for example who collated, released or translated the information, and whether images for this information are missing. With this technology all information relating to a product may be visualized, potential errors may be identified and measures may be taken to increase production accuracy.
