High State of Automation  VivaImpose

VivaImpose was designed for productions of high capacity and quality. To reduce significantly the number of sources for entry error simple and logical workflow containing a high degree of automation was developed. This is made possible by dividing the program into user and administrator mode.

Extremely High Speed
Through co-operation with large printing companies, VivaImpose was conceived from the very beginning for large amounts of data and a very high speed of operation.

Therefore the whole process takes place in just a few minutes. In this way a user can with a G4 Mac import, impose and output completely a 1.000-page paperback book in 3 minutes. This is among other reasons also possible because with the simple user interface an entry of all the relevant information can easily be achieved in this time.

Automation & Error Reduction
Both the program and the administrator define how the program should behave under certain conditions.

The program defines for example:
• which partial spread will be selected, depending on the number of pages left over.
• that with saddle-stitch binding the creep calculation cannot be switched off and that the inner margin cannot be selected.

The administrator defines for example:
• how the collating mark should behave, depending on the binding type selected (position, size, etc.)
• preferred positioning for color bars
